The Battle of Litchney was a mid-sized engagement between the Coalition of Ordered Governments and the Locust Horde. Early in 2 A.E., the Locust emerged just outside of the city of Litchney and began rapidly moving into the city. The nearest units to the city, the severely understrength 92nd Royal Tyran Infantry and the 60th Royal Tyran Rotary Air Wing, were deployed to defend civilian evacuation sites. Faced with a Locust force more than double the size of their own and a painfully slow civilian evacuation, the Gears stood little chance of surviving. In the end, after seven days of urban combat, the evacuation was finally completed, allowing the survivors to abandon the city to the Locust.
