Gaston Bellamy was a veteran Eslarian Gear who fought extensively during the Pendulum Wars and during the first five years of the Locust War. A die-hard Eslarian and COG patriot, Bellamy was resentful for the COG's burning of his beloved country during the Hammer of Dawn Counterattack, but he continued to serve nevertheless.
Bellamy served as a second in command to Colonel Francis Killebrand during the Fall of Turin in 5 A.E., during which he helped to carry out orders which resulted in the deaths of more than a thousand Gears. Despite surviving the massacre itself, Bellamy ignored orders to retreat and instead held off Locust forces while Sergeant Craig Randall led the rest of the survivors to safety, sacrificing himself rather than continuing on in the knowledge that he led so many to their deaths.
